1. Can library staff take my credit card to pay off my fees?

To protect our customers' privacy, library staff do not handle credit cards or process any credit card transactions. You may log into our Catalog & My Account page to access our online payment module. You will need your library card number and PIN to sign in. 

2. Is the credit card payment method used by the Library secure?

Yes. We use a company called ProPay to process online credit card transactions made through our Catalog & My Account site. ProPay has a secure payment portal seamlessly integrated into our catalog and the library's mobile app. It uses a separate website with an encryption certificate. For your protection, your credit card information is not stored on Library servers or permanently saved anywhere by the Library. 

3. Does the Library still accept cash?

Yes, library staff can accept cash onsite in the branch to process payments for fines and fees. 

4. What is the minimum payment I can make with a credit card?

The minimum payment you can make with a credit card is $1.00 when paying off library fees through our Catalog & My Account site. 

5. Is there a service charge or convenience fee for paying with a credit card?

No, you do not pay above and beyond your library fee when using a credit card on our Catalog & My Account page.  

6. How does this charge appear on my credit card statement?

Payments made through our Catalog & My Account page will appear as "PP*Scott County Library 952-4968010 MN".
