2017 Overlay Projects
This annual project is part of the Countywide pavement preservation program. Overlays are performed on a regular basis to preserve the initial paving investment and provide additional safety enhancements.

CH 8 Reconstruction
The project was awarded to Chard Tiling & Excavating, Inc. Chard plans to begin the project on Tuesday September 8, 2015.

CH 16 Reconstruction
Expand existing two-lane rural section to a four-lane urban roadway consistent with the County Highway 16 Corridor Study between Dean Lakes Trail and CH 21. A pavement reclamation/resurfacing of the existing four-lane segment between CH 83 and Dean Lakes Trail will also occur as part of the project.

CH 17 Reconstruction
The purpose of this project is to increase safety and capacity of this segment of highway through lane expansion, intersection modifications, and access closures.

CH 27 at South Park Drive & 150th Street
The goal of this project is to improve and reduce congestion and improve traffic operations.

Highway 101/61 Southwest Reconnection Project
Scott County Highway 101 between existing Minnesota River bridge in Shakopee and Carver County Hwy 61/Flying Cloud Drive in Chanhassen

2016 HSIP Shoulder Widening
The 2016 Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Shoulder Widening project is designed to improve highway safety and increase performance on numerous roadways throughout Scott County.

CH 2 Culvert Replacements
This project is planned to be completed by the evening of September 7th, weather permitting.

CH 27 & CH 68 Roundabout
On October 20th, the Scott County Board approved a contract with a civil engineering consulting firm for the design of a roundabout at the intersection of CH 27 and CH 68.

CH 79 Trail Project
A trail is anticipated to be constructed on the East side of County Highway (CH) 79 from CH 78 to CH 16.

MN 19 Turn Lanes in New Prague
Resurface State Highway 19 from the intersection of Alton Avenue in New Prague east to the intersections with Le Sueur County Road 3 (141st Ave) and Scott County Road 89 (Redwing Ave)

Highway 169 Crossover Project
This project will improve the safety and mobility in this area by construction an interchange and removing direct access to US Highway 169.

TH 169 / Mobile Manor Frontage Rd
Construct frontage road extending west and southwest from CH 69 along the south and east side of Highway 169 connecting to Mobile Manor.

CH 16 Pedestrian Crossings
Provide for pedestrian crossings on CH 16 at school crossing locations for Jackson, Shakopee High School, SACs, Sun Path, Eagle Creek. Project includes pedestrian activated crosswalk amenities, vehicle alert systems, raised center median and paving.

CH 83 Turn Lanes at 4th Avenue
The purpose of this project is to mitigate development impacts and address future traffic needs.

CH 46 & CH 86 Roundabout
This project will reconstruct the intersection as a roundabout in New Market Township.

CH 51 & CH 53 Culvert Replacement
Replace culvert to address continuing erosion stabilization problems along the right-of-way.

CH 83 Reconstruction
This project has achieved its design life for pavement structure and is need of major repairs. Capacity improvements are also needed due to the increase in traffic.

US Highway 169 Mobility Study
The purpose of the study is to identify and evaluate cost-effective options for improving transit and reducing congestion on Hwy 169 between Hwy 41 in Shakopee and Hwy 55 in Golden Valley. The study will focus on: 1. Highway Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) 2. MnPASS Express Lanes 3. Lower cost/high benefit improvements along the highway such as adding auxiliary lanes, turn lanes, modifying interchanges, and creating ways for buses to get through traffic more efficiently 4. Evaluating the potential for expanding bus service on Hwy 169 between Mankato and the Twin Cities Metro area

CH 42 and TH 13 Intersection Improvements
Traffic studies conducted with developments in the northeast and southeast quadrants of CH 42 and TH 13 identified unacceptable levels of service so plans were made for action to be taken.

The purpose of this project is to replace Bridge Number 7063 on the south side of Cynthia Lake in Cedar Lake Township.
