On Monday, July 24, Driver & Vehicle Services will be rolling out a new and improved licensing and registration system. The conversion to the Minnesota Licensing and Registration System (MNLARS) will require a closure of some offices and limited services in others for a short period of time across the entire state. We want you to know exactly how this is going to affect your local Scott County offices.
The Elko New Market Service Center in the Elko New Market Library will be closed on Friday, July 21 and will reopen for business Monday, July 24 at our regular time of 1:00 p.m.
The Shakopee/Government Center location will be open regular business hours on Thursday, July 20 (8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) and Friday, July 21 (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) but will be unable to accept any motor vehicle transactions including, but not limited to, registration renewals, title transfers and license plates. We will reopen Monday, July 24 at our regular time of 8:00 a.m. but please know that we may not be able to process motor vehicle transactions right away – we would ask you to please call 952-496-8150 to verify we are operational.
We do not anticipate that driver’s license services will be impacted by these changes and expect we will be able to accept applications, but should this service be effected we will keep you informed via our website www.scottcountymn.gov and socal media.
Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please feel free to contact us at 952-496-8150 if you have any questions.
