Clean Water Requires Everyone to do their Part
There are many ways to give back to the environment, and volunteering is a fantastic way. At SWMO, we have a couple of on-going opportunities, plus occasional volunteer events. Please bookmark this page and keep an eye out for volunteer opportunities.
Citizen Water Quality Monitoring (CAMP)
Since 2006, the Scott WMO has sponsored a citizen water quality monitoring program to monitor its lakes and streams. We are always looking for volunteers to fill in, as people’s spare time becomes unavailable from year to year. If interested in becoming a water quality monitor contact Becky Groshens, Water Resources Technician.
Great River Greening is a non-profit organization which specializes in helping organizations find volunteers for local events. If you want to find an event to participate in, check out their website for a current list!
